Crane Orchards

Rob and I took Ava to Cranes in Fennville last weekend to pick some apples with the neighborhood. This is a yearly event here in Cozy Acres but it is the first year Rob and I have participated. It was not the greatest of weather but it was still the greatest of times with the greatest people. What better way to spend a gloomy Saturday?

If you are interested in ever going to Crane Orchards visit http://www.cranesorchards.com/. They offer a lot of family fun activities from picking several types apples and other fruit, to a corn maze, to hayrides, and beautiful countryside scenery.

Next year I am hoping for less rain and maybe a trip to the corn maze. There are 17 different types of apples to pick at Crane Orchards and our favorite for eating is the Honeycrisp. They are just so darn good! They were $0.75/LB which is much better than store prices. We ended up with 12 apples for $5.00! Such a steal of a deal. After apple picking we went to Crane's Restaurant and had a tasty dinner. They are known for homemade goodies. Who doesn't love the smell of fresh baking bread, homemade applesauce, apple ice cream, and hot fudge! It was the perfect treat to end a great day spent with friends!
